Just a short post...This was our first morning in England. We woke up early to go to the Borough Market in London.
We bought lots of fresh vegetables, cheeses and fish for dinner tomorrow night at our friend's, Lisa and Jim's home.
Isn't the produce amazing? And they give out free samples...ha! almost like Costco :)
We also bought some of these cute little bowls by artist,
Richard Bramble to take back to our hostess.
Tonight is her birthday party.

MaryAnn, Have a wonderful time in one of my favorite cities in the world! I think it's time to plan another trip across the pond. Those dishes are so cute and the produce is beautiful. Linda

How lovely! This makes me want to re-wind my day, and head directly to the Saturday Market for tomatoes, beans and berries. Hope the party was wonderful!

Have a great trip. I hope you have your umbrella because I saw that they are having lots and lots of rain. I would like to suggest that you have tea at the Brown Hotel. It's very elegant and old school. It's where Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt had their honeymoon.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh when you said they gave out samples like Costco! The word "samples" is the ONLY thing those two have in common. Such beautiful produce! And those bowls..."to die for". Saw on the news today about all the rain in England. Hope you brought your party umbrella, but I'll also hope for clear skies for the rest of your trip!
ReplyDeleteOooh.. how fun! That produce looks as wonderful as it tastes, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteKeri
