Classic Casual's NEW Home in the City

Some BIG NEWS!

My husband, our puppy and I are moving to
San Francisco next month!
But after I finish Tommy's Room for the
One Room Challenge.

I'm sad to leave my family and friends
in Southern California,
but will be returning often for business and fun.

We'll be keeping our Lido home
and renting it to a nice couple.
Thanks to e-design, I already have some clients
in the Bay Area that I am excited to meet in person.

As we head up north
for a more "urban" lifestyle...
 it will still be
classic, casual and
home.

I hope you will
jump on board with me!

  5. Congrats Mary Ann, that is exciting news! Moving, while difficult keeps you "nimble" and is an accomplishment to be proud of. In no time you will find yourself at home in your new city, I wish you all the best!

  12. What a fun adventure....can't wait to hear about where you choose to settle. I love San Francisco and my very best friend lives in the east bay in Moraga. It's easier to think of it as an adventure when you can rent your home and know you can return. All the best to you!

  13. Mary Ann,
Congratulations! How exciting. My husband commuted from the bay area in 2005-2007. We had so much fun getting to know that area intimately. The wine country is a stones throw away and provided some very nice weekend tours.
The best part, for your readers, is that we'll get to travel along with you via your blog.

  14. How exciting! If I had to live anywhere else, that would be my 1st choice. Can't wait to see your new place and how you decorate it.

Wise decision keeping the house down here, my sister did the same thing when her husband retired and they moved to Boise 4 years ago. They may move back some day when the cold weather gets to be too much for them.

  17. Mary Ann, WOW....how exciting! You've lived in some wonderful places and now the fabulous San Francisco! I can't wait to see what's in store for us "blog" followers. When I read you were moving, I couldn't believe you could leave your Lido Isle beach retreat, but then was happy to read you'd be renting it out. Sure do wish we were the lucky couple to get to live in your beautiful home. Good luck on this new adventure! XO

  19. Omgosh we will practically be neighbors! How exciting. San Francisco is a whole other world compared to New Port Beach as you well know. Will you live in the city or outside in one of the nearby burbs? What an adventure for you and your hubby. Can't wait for upcoming post,

  37. A new and beautiful route to Mammoth!

My dream place is on Coit Tower Hill. I've been walking Lido's back alleys recently and understand why you would keep your place though, I also celebrate the weather changes in SF because of the varied wardrobe/fashion options.

Cheers to your next great adventure!

  46. Mary Ann how did I miss this post? I can't believe you're moving, but from one beautiful place to another. It makes me feel a special kinship with you since i'm moving too, although I going down to your old stomping grounds. After raising our kids in Northern California we're headed down to Huntington Beach. Right now I'm getting the house ready for show because we're definitely selling this one and right now I've no idea where we'll live. I admire your ability to redecorate Tommy's room during such a busy time. How do you do it? haha and I look forward to following you on your new adventure! Best of luck,
    Leslie
