Our New Master Bedroom

When we found out that we were moving
from Newport Beach to San Francisco,
it was during the One Room Challenge, where
we were redoing Tommy's bedroom with a masculine slant.
In our new master bedroom,
we used some of his furnishings
and added feminine touches.
This is the view from my bed.

Liana suggested lighter bed curtains.
In fact, she made these for me as a Christmas present.
It's touching that she wanted us to have a
comfortable nest in our new city.
We have a soft, textured Pottery Barn Jute area rug
that Chief thinks is a chew toy.

Look at Liana's attention to detail with
the flat linen welt that matches the
trim on the China Seas Nitik II pillows.
Other details that I love are the vintage crystal and brass
door knobs throughout the apartment.
Silvery blue was added to the bed
Notice the balloon pleats on Liana's curtains?

My new closet is minuscule so adding this
IKEA wardrobe made my life easier!
The bone inlay photo frame is a recent purchase from Target.
These two Noir chairs used to be
in our living room
and now are a cosy place to read or chat.

 The lumbar pillows of
Schumacher Pyne Hollyhock fabric
and add a touch of femininity…
with the pale blue throws (a bargain from West Elm
and shades of black, white  and ivory.
Speaking of black and white…look who thinks
he's camouflaged.
He's in my favorite blogging spot.

Thanks for visiting!

    1. Julianne, they were hand-me-downs from my cousin and I painted them. I think she got them at the Bombay Co (not around anymore?). Good luck.
