A Serenely, Beautiful Family Thanksgiving

These are photos from our family's Thanksgiving last year at my cousins' home in Redlands, California.
The china is the The Royal Worchester Group Game Series.

The dishes were given to my cousins by a friend before she died two years ago.  That friend was given the china set as a gift by, Barbara, another mutual friend. Their husbands hunted birds together. Last Thanksgiving, Barbara was delighted to see the table set with the gift she had given to her dear, departed friend.

Family "glamour" shots.  I'm not in any of them as I was taking the photos.

You can see more of their remodeled, beautiful kitchen here.

 I feel blessed.

I'm in the Houston airport as I write.  We are headed to New Orleans and Donaldsonville, Louisiana for a family wedding.
Here come the California Cousins!

  17. What a beautiful Thanksgiving table! Seems that during the year, we forget how fortunate we are and to give thanks everyday for the blessings that surround us and for our wonderful friends and family! We will be celebrating Thanksgiving at my nieces home in Zurich Switzerland then onto Florence for a few days before heading to Stuttgart Germany for my other nieces wedding!

Love the pic of Ally and Tommy with baby Chief! Blessing to you and yours this Thanksgiving.
    Love, Gail

  19. Hope you had a great trip to my home state. My dad is actually from Napoleonville, not too far from Donaldsonville. His family owned a sugarcane plantation called Oakley. Great memories. I love the dining room above. xo Travel safely!
