Happy 2015!

Well, we had a fun New Years Party!

My sister, Teresa brought the good Champagne on the left and it's lesser quality "After Party" on on the right.  This was the wine and Champagne station.

We made guests' first drink and then let them help themselves afterwards.

There were some great karaoke songs (and some really bad ones) and face glitter…no blackmail shots here, however!

At midnight we all snuck up on the roof of our building for this...

Very fun!  But today I woke up with a terrible cold and cough.  All our company is leaving…even Tommy goes back to college.  You should see the piles of laundry.  Depression is sinking in.  Oh well, I will snap out of it after a little rest.  Take care of yourself!

  2. And Happy New Year to you Mary Ann! Please get some rest and take care of yourself. Kenny, my brother and I all got cold/cough on our last day in Germany and the three of us are still sniffing and coughing!!! It's a nasty bug.

But your New Year's bash looks like it was a huge success and your guest were lucky to have such a beautiful party to bring in the New Year!

    Feel better real soon...xo Gail

  5. I guess half the world has been sick! I've been down and out since Christmas Day, venturing out for groceries only… Today the cough is better and I have more energy. So, take care of yourself and don't push it!! Happy New Year Mary Ann.,Libby

  14. What a great party and everything looked lovely. At least you didn't get sick until after it was over. You have company because I woke up yesterday to the stomach flu, and I had a flu shot!

Hope you feel better and Happy New Year!

  15. Love the table setting and vase holding the flowers. I've got college son home a couple more weeks, but all good things must change I guess. Love this blog.

    1. They are crumbles of mimolette (a French hard cheese) and parmesan cheeses. Great for nibbling.

  20. Sounds wonderful while it lasted...so many people are sick! Take care...I swear by Vicks...poor it on your chest at night and it will prevent the coughing...

  21. Your New Year's eve party sounds like fun. I just dropped our two children at the airport as they are heading back to university so I can identify with the quiet house and the little bit of depression sinking in. It's tough to swing between the full happy house and the empty nest, but I do try and enjoy the best of both.

  22. What a beautiful looking spread. I'll bet you threw a fabulous party, Mary Ann. Sorry to hear you got sick immediately following, though. My New Year's was spent in bed. A cold began to develop on Christmas day, and the Monday following it really kicked in. I haven't had any sense of smell or taste in more than 4 days now, and it's really getting me down. No New Year's snacks or Champagne for me. Oh well. At least I had time off from work so I could rest (although I keep thinking about what a waste of vacation time it's been!). I hope this isn't a bad sign of what's to come in 2015!
