Coastal Bath Remodel and Other Fun Things in So. Cal.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was in Southern California last week.  I checked in with my client, Julie.  We are collaborating on the re-decoration her home room by room.  Here is the downstairs bathroom...

This is her laundry room before a new door and Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal paint.
And her laundry room now...

We brought back a fashionable Newport Harbor collar for Chief.
Got some questions about the fabrics in my last post...
From left, right to center:
Suzanne Kasler/Lee Jofa Costes Aqua Blue
Kravet Riad in Ivory
Schumacher Betwixt in Water (a good old, sturdy favorite)

I made a trip into Juxtaposition Home (always try to do that)...loving all the wood and metal.
Bar Tartine is up here in SF.

And into Roger's Gardens...
I'm in the mood for succulents again... they work well indoors or outdoors in California.

Being there made me feel like Christmas is around the corner.
Checked on our house on Lido Isle and saw that this was recently built in the neighborhood...this is the back entrance.  I like the architecture.
One more time...
And the extra special event that we were there for was an Old California Themed--Pacific Ocean View wedding !  Laura, the mother of the bride is on the left.  It was breathtaking and I am pulling together a post about it...up next.  I've been pals A LONG time with these two.

  1. Love the pumpkins/gourds planted with succulents. Also that you put HOOKS in your bath instead of towel bars. Much more functional in my book.

  3. Love what you've done with your friend's house room by room.
Rogers does seem to get everyone who visits in the mood for whatever the season, even if Christmas is still 2 months away. :-)

  8. OK Mary Ann...that's it! I NEED you desperately! I love these 2 makeovers, you worked your magic once again. Give Chief a hug for me...he looks so handsome in his new collar. I need to get down to NB and hit all those haunts, definitely favorites of mine too! How fun to have such a beautiful new home in your neighborhood. If that's the back entrance, I can't imagine how wonderful the front must me! I'll be waiting for your blog about the wedding you went to, the events you attend are always chic, fun affairs and I love that you share them.
Have a happy week! xo Gail

  10. Looks like you had a great trip. We are wrapping up a quick get away to Laguna Beach ourselves. We stopped by Rogers Gardens - beautiful, but sad to see that they were packing up all of their Halloween things already! Christmas though is in full swing! We also stopped by Juxtaposition Home on our way back from dinner tonight....unfortunately they closed at 6pm! But I could see beautiful things in their windows!

I wanted to say that I love your line at the end of your last post in reference to contacting you "about making your home a fresh reflection of you." You couldn't have expressed what you do more perfectly!

    :)
