Beverage Centers and Bar Carts

Brandi from Don't Disturb This Groove asked me to participate in an Instagram tag game called #ShowUsYourBarCart.  Bar carts are so in right now...but versatile, as well.

We don't have one, so here is what I came up this that's transitional from Christmas to New Years (the vintage flea market clock faces are a nod to the midnight count down).
See me in the antique mirror :)

This cart is from IKEA!  By Miss_Broggs.
Here is a pretty one done by Claire Brody.
Brandi is using hers as a wrapping center, so, I wonder what it's next reincarnation will be?
I like all this gold, black and white by Cheryl.  Fun for all year round.
Yuni at Love your Abode has a delicious hot chocolate bar.
Last year, we had a big party for New Year's but this year is going to be smaller.  I'm fighting a cold and drinking Emergency C...I think it really works (or it's all in my mind).  I want to be ready to celebrate a fresh, new year.

Our "bar cart" is actually an antique book case.  The marble top is good for spills.
Here is my favorite beverage center in our home...

Interior Charm has rounded up 99 of their favorite blog posts of 2015...and they have one of mine on there (#64)...check it out.

Do you have a beverage center or bar cart in your home?

Hope you all are healthy and happy!

  1. That's a lovely piece of furniture you're using for yours. It all looks lovely. I have a coffee bar, and am considering a hot chocolate/frappaccino bar perhaps. Hope you feel better soon!

  4. Firstly, happy New Year to you, Mary Ann. I hope you feel better soon. Secondly, we have a bar area in our dining room in the antique built-in hutch. So it is not really a bar "cart" though I love them!! We just don't have a lot of room for extra pieces and this counter in the built-in works perfectly. If anyone is interested, here is a link to a post that shows it: http://mylittlebungalow.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-dining-table-set-for-fall.html

    Happy New Year!

  5. Sorry to hear you have a little cold. This time of year is always a little crazy and we are more susceptible to picking things up..

I like the portable bar carts but we really don't have a place for one. We have a built-in wine refrigerator, other beverages, and mixes at easy access in the kitchen area. I also have a wine barrel in the great room with a glass top. This year I brought it out to the center of the room and we used it for entertaining.
We may have people over for NYE but it will be quiet because we've been partying non-stop and we are headed to Vancouver on January 1. I love the chaos but it's tiring!

Enjoy the rest of the week and Happy New Year!

  8. Love all the bar cart/area ideas, especially yours! And I'm in love with your cute silver christmas tree, but can't
figure out what it's made of. Is it a real tree sprayed silver? So cute! I'm helping a friend convert a large armoire into a bar so these ideas come in handy!
Wishing you and yours a wonderful, happy, healthy New Year! May it bring you all good things!
    Love, Gail

  9. We have an antique bar cabinet - we store everything inside, not on top. The cool thing about it is that the top folds out and had an inlaid marble top that doubles the size of the top! I love it!
Happy New Year - best wishes for 2016!

  11. The wine is the important factor in the Christmas holiday and a nice wine cart can increase the beauty of the room.
