Home Office Off to a Good Start

Yesterday I straightened up my office...Although I use the calendar on my computer and telephone for appointments, I like to see months at a glance.  It was fun to just down load and print a new calendar from Etsy yesterday...Here.   Only $4.44!  Instant gratification.

There are other colors, too...

While organizing my office, I listened to music on my Beats Pill...which I love.  Sounds great for such a little device.
The pinboards are from Pottery Barn Teen.  On sale right now.
Available in gold or monogrammed, too.
Below, are those black pencils from Target that I love (my husband put a new box in my Christmas stocking),
and flowers,
and a little tube of L'Occitane hand cream.   Thanks, Mom, for the gift!
Are you feeling organized?

  1. I love your calendar wall......... now wanting one. We all think we are so tuned in having everything on an electronic schedule a'la iphone, but sometimes I just want to see it in print. Keeping the entire year up on the wall shows how much you accomplished, not just where you are going.

  4. Yes! The new year is all about order for me. I'm already planning to work on my own office. Which, actually won't happen until spring. So between now and them I am sure I will be posting my own home office inspiration! By the way, love your bulletin boards and those black pencils. Not sure how I missed the pencils at Target.

  11. Mary Ann I love your office space with a view. And those curvy bulletin boards!! I need to carve out a little desk area for myself...I work from the dining room table and it's not all that inspiring! Happy new year my friend.

  12. Pretty work space, Mary Ann! Yes, I've been feeling the need to organize too. I bought a wire shelf stand and a clear tray and reorganized my "baking shelf" in one of the kitchen cabinets. I threw away anything out of date and grouped like items together, putting the small stuff in the tray which I can now easily slide out from the shelf (which is the 2nd shelf up) and get what I need quickly. The wire shelf, which takes up half the width of the shelf, allows me to better utilize the height of the space, while keeping taller items beside the shelf. It's a little thing, but it sure made me happy!

    1. Mary Ann, I was going to email you but couldn't find your email address on your blog! I mentioned you in today's post on my blog. Take a look and let me know if you've been to the bakery mentioned!

  13. After having an aero bed living in my office for the entire Christmas week, all is back to order now! Don't know whether I can do that again! We are in the process of guest room and then kitchen updating/renovation so yes, organization is all. So much to do, so little time! Happy New Year Mary Ann!

  15. Mary Ann,
This is my favorite time of year for the inspiration and organization that comes to me. I'm going to visit Target and see if I can pick up some of those black pencils.
    Thanks,

  20. First of all, Happy New Year to you Mary Ann! And I love your office - gorgeous and organized. Like Lisa I don't really have an office per se to work from, but that might be a new goal for me:)

We are currently (obsessively) cleaning and organizing the entire house; every closet, cubby, and storage space. I read the book The Art of Tidying Up this fall and I am inspired to really clean out and pare down.

Thanks for sharing your pretty space:)

  24. Can I have your beautiful little office? God I hate sharing mine with the laundry room but I suppose if I organized it and made it pretty it wouldn't be so bad:)

  25. Mary Ann, you office is a dream. You have made it so beautiful, organized, and personal. I am in love with your bulletin boards--they make your space. Love the wall calendar. I don't know if it is that I am old school or just visual (I choose to believe the later since I am in my mature years) but I love to have calendars/planners/inspiration in front of me everyday where I can see it and 'process'. Happy New Year!
