Unforgettable Tropical Boho Chic Party!

My friend, Laura throws the most wonderful parties.  Remember her daughter's Old California themed wedding?  This time, it was her husband, Jack's birthday celebration at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club.  The above sitting area set the tropical, boho chic tone as we arrived.
Here is Jack "a few" years ago.  The attention to detail was amazing.  This musician was performing as we first entered.

Detail of the flowers above the bar...
We each got a lei.  Here I am with Laura before the guests arrived (wearing flat sandals...I regretted that--but I got over it, especially when it was time to dance).
 Such fun table settings...

There was another sitting area inside.  Look at the painted pineapples!  I love all the textiles.

Notice the hanging lanterns that were brought in and the string lighting...

 Coordinated cake!  Beautiful desserts.

Larrissa Rehder from Inviting Occasions was responsible for all the organization of the amazing details.
I feel like I just had a get-away to Hawaii!
Thanks, Laura and Jack, for a great party!

    1. The party planner collected it...so I am not sure. Probably some was custom, like that indigo chair.

  3. Oh my goodness! I was proud of putting on a party for 30+ in the back yard last weekend and thrilled that we had a jazz quartet. This is a completely different level. Very pretty decor.

  11. what a gorgeous spread Mary Ann. Loooove those table linens--and all the details are so lush and pretty. BTW-- that's a great picture of you both too. Although I know what you mean about wearing flats. I'm 5'2 and I never go to an event in flats because I feel like I'm looking up so much. hahaha I do wear flats all the time when i'm home though--even though the men in my life are 6'2, 6'1 and 6 feet. :)
    oh well. gotta be comfy.

    1. That is so annoying. Some people can't leave comments at all. I need to find out if there is a solution or if it's just a fact of life using Google's Blogger product. I've seen lots of the textiles on Etsy...I'd like to know about the the table linens... I'll ask Laura when she gets back from her hiking trip.
