NO FAIL PAINT SHADES AND OTHER NEWS

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!  We just were in Newport Beach, California getting our Lido home ready for new renters.
The Dutch door got a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore Hale Navy.
This is a good shade with blue slate.

The master bedroom got slicked up with soothing
Benjamin Moore Glass Slipper

While there, we had a nice little visit with Debbie in her gorgeous, new home (that is being perfected, but here are some teasers).
Her kitchen cabinets are painted the shade that is in the background of her blue and white china.

BM Light Pewter

Here is a pretty vignette in her foyer.

And this ingenious mirror on the mantel elevates to expose the television screen (Debbie designed it herself).
I love her staircase but I am really crazy about the arched hall the leads to her cosy, chic office.

Benjamin Moore Super White

Now, we are in San Diego celebrating with family.
Wishing you all the best Thanksgiving weekend ever!

I am grateful for YOU and the time you take to visit here.

  1. happy thanksgiving! thanks for sharing these gorgeous BM colors...it's so helpful to see expanses of them. loving that navy and the light pewter. BM revere pewter is one of my favs so i need to meet this light pewter hue. that arched doorway! i miss the barreled ceiling and arches in our prior home. the only arches here are fan windows which are growing on me a little. peace to you across the miles, and enjoy your travels.

  2. Really pretty. Those stairs are beautiful, too, with the contrast of the dark wood against the white.

  3. Whoever rents your home is lucky to have such a great place! And that's a lovely home of your friend's! And that sunflower arrangement -- wow! I just pinned it to my Flowers board. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  6. Debbie's new house is gorgeous Mary Ann. Love the arched doorway, my friend just put one in her new home's foyer too and it's amazing how that one detail makes the space. I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving and THANK YOU for all the beautiful inspiration you share here!

  8. Love the colors of your rental. The Dutch door is charming. Is it a long term or short term rental?

    1. Long term rental, Joanne. We will move back there one day...at least part time.

    2. Does the Light Pewter tend towards greige or is it a true grey? I'm wanting to paint my master a greige as it is warmer and will look nice against the cream bedding and flax headboard.

    3. It's a warm gray...you should test it, Joanne.
