Fresh, Modern and Well Priced Home Accents

With so much rain in the SF Bay Area, there is flooding on the roads.  On Tuesday, we had to take a lot of detours to make it home from Napa valley after...
a quick but nice get-away at the Carneros Resort.
Dogs are welcome and Chief loved the fresh air.
Each cottage has its own front porch
and a small enclosed back yard.  And look how cute the picnic sandwiches in their market are wrapped...

I am always on the look out for reasonably priced accessories to update clients' homes (after I implement using what they already own).  Here are some good things...

1.  Gold Feather Frame $15     2.  Gold Triangles Frame $17

3.  Anthro Scented Candle $34    4.  Anthro Vase $22

5.   McGee and Co. Thin Striped Linen Tray Small $18

6.  McGee and Co. Ridged Bud Vase $35

3.  Target Freemont Farmhouse Mugs $18 for four

4.  Bone carved Picture Frame $13   5.  Gray and Ivory $20

I wish this had a better insert...but it is still good looking.

All this rain is bringing some early blossoms!
Stay warm where you are.

  1. Hi Mary Ann! So fun talking with you yesterday, I'm working of getting together a decor package to send you. Might be a couple of days. That resort looks heavenly and how fun to be able to take cutie Chief with you. Love all the accessories you shared and the prices are amazing! Hope you see some sunshine soon, but we do need the rain.

  2. Loved this post! I have yet to experience the Carneros Resort but it has been high on my bucket list ever since my son chose the resort as the location he proposed to his now wife. They love it there and have gone back on their wedding anniversary several times. Also, thanks for your suggestions for well-priced accessories. I am in the market for just such things for my current cottage fixer-upper and see a couple of things I might just have to have. Have a great weekend and stay dry.

  4. I've often wondered about those cute pillows with the less-than-desirable inserts. If they are standard sizes, would it be worth it to have them opened up and the insert replaced? Has anyone done this? What does your pillow guru think about that, Mary Ann? I agree with Kelly from Talk of the House - fun post!

    1. I have seen it done...but without a zipper put in, just stitched up. Not my favorite...but hey for that price it could just be an accent on a twin bed or in a window seat.

  5. I wish we could just hop in the car and visit Napa, but it is a bit of a haul from here. One day I hope we can fly out and visit. It's on my bucket list.

  7. It looks so tranquil. I like the way they have a place for you to sit outside and see people go by and a place for you to sit outside in privacy.
And those orange bikes! I want to paint my bike--I was thinking pale pink or green--but now orange looks zesty! Maybe I would ride faster on a bright orange bike!

  8. Mary Ann,
What a wonderful getaway. I live in SoCal and always hearing about places like this one. I'm happy for the rain but kinda ready for some sunny weather. I guess we're spoiled here in California! :-)

  12. I would love to go to Napa someday! Such a pretty room and porch - and how great that dogs are welcome! We are currently stuck in Vermont because of a blizzard...I guess I can't complain but my kids are going to have to miss school tomorrow which I am not thrilled about (needless to say, they are!) It's been a great ski season so far! I love all your pics and the reasonable prices too!
