Subtle Changes and SF Sites

February 6, 2016 By Mary Ann Pickett 6 Comments

One of my first clients in the Bay Area was Cathy.  We worked on her kitchen and new breakfast room by e-design before we moved here.  A while back, I showed you blue and white fabrics that we were considering for her valance.  This one, Schumacher Vallier Vine, a lovely linen was the favorite.  And I’m so glad we went for the large scale pattern for some bang for the buck.
About a year ago, I played with her book cases and mantel using her existing accessories
–but just took some photos this week (we are going to spruce up her master bedroom and adorable daughter’s room).

I think a custom cut mirror (regular or antiqued) with an inch and a half bevel would look great in the mantel inset.  Cathy is not buying it.  That’s ok.

Love these colors.

Also long ago, Cathy asked me about a light fixture for a funny spot high on the wall leading into her bedroom.  I suggested this Circa library sconce with a piece of art — to highlight the art and illuminate the little hallway… (it’s one of my favorite little spots in her house).

San Francisco is buzzing with excitement for Super Bowl 50.  The Bay Bridge has the permanent lighting show installed now for the next ten years.  We had this view at a party recently.

 It constantly changes.

While I’m watching and hearing about all the snow shoveling going on elsewhere…days like this are pretty nice!  (Remind me of this when we are packed in with fog in July).   Chief likes this perch in the park… with the view of the other bridge.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I love this bay window treatment. Are there any instructions for sewing the treatment?

It was custom-made using a Schumacher fabric.

I love this look! What would I do for rods to achieve this!

It’s made on a wooden base that is screwed in. Not rods.
