She asked some good questions
(Now you know where we hide the Champagne glasses, which in my opinion, do not get used enough). |
4. Is there anything you would change about the renovation process?

Becca explains how to do a gallery wall. She gets inspired by items in stores and creates the look at home for less…like the “B” (Anthropologie look alike) on the console.
Additionally, trays make excellent gifts and help make
entertaining and organizing fun.

…And here’s and idea: Claire bought a tray at a consignment store and had
antiqued mirror glass cut to fit the interior…looks pretty with candles on it.
This is crazy as Style Maniac gave me the idea for the Ina Garten cookbook
give away…and she won it. How lucky!
Also, congratulations to my brother, Joe on his promotion.

That is crazy, Mary Ann! Especially since I didn't intend my comment as an entry, just a note to tell you how wonderful your Blogs To Books gift to your daughter was, and how appreciative I am that you took it one step further with the giveaway. Good karma all 'round I guess. But, given the above, shouldn't this lovely treat shouldn't go to another reader?
By the way, Books & Books, the Westhampton Beach independent bookstore that partnered with me on the project, is featuring your pick, along with the others, in a store display (will be shown on my blog soon).

Had to come over to your blog to tell you I'm in love with your kitchen! Found you over at Becca's when she featured you. The pantry idea is genius, as I have a walk-in pantry and think creating counter space for larger appliances would solve my limited space in the kitchen! Thanks for inspiring me! I'm your newest follower!!! Hope you stop by for a visit @ http://www.sweetavakate.blogspot.com

Wow, what an action-packed post! Thanks so much for sharing Becca's gallery wall – I've been contemplating different layouts for the gallery wall I'm creating, and this is one of the best ones I've seen 🙂 Heading over to Becca's blog now to check out her how-to and to check out your kitchen.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree with Marianne – loving the clever hidden storage! And couldn't agree with you more – the champagne glasses need to get out more in my house as well!! Hopping over to follow you – well everywhere!!

Great hiding spot for the champagne glasses. In our house, I think they get used a little too much…

That is a great gallery wall! Somehow, my frames always tilt on one side or another!

I never get tired of seeing your house, Mary Ann! And I always see something that inspires me–in this case, I think it's time (or it will be in 2012) to update my kitchen sitting area. Everything is just lovely.

Mary Ann, I just checked out your guest post and am delighted to see new views of your kitchen I haven't seen before! I really love checking it out because when we renovate our kitchen & dining room into one space our layout with be very similar to yours, with the oven/cooktop & hood on the back wall and the sink in a long island, and a beverage center on another wall so guests can help themselves while we cook! I love all the details in your kitchen and I especially enjoyed seeing your drawings and then the reality! So…..maybe my drawings will come to fruition one day! 🙂
Looking at your pretty kitchen never gets old!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
