Welcome back to the fourth week of The One Room Challenge,
where twenty bloggers re-do a room in six weeks.
I selected our college son’s room to decorate.
This was one of his lamps, broken and
repaired in a previous move.
Not so great looking.
Here you can see his room before…the tan band on the
right lamp was actually darker than the one on the left
…just due to aging.
And here are some “Before Before” photos of his room
(before we remodeled it and added new windows and new floors.
Back to my renewed love for spray paint!
New lamps in minutes!!!
I also bought new Grommeted Curtains from Pottery Barn
in ivory, eight feet long so that I could hang them higher.
They are lined and are on sale!
Thank you to all of you local readers and clients
who came to our moving sale on Sunday.
It was pretty crazy, wasn’t it?
Everything was gone in an hour and a half.
Linda from Design in My View brought
Prosecco and I served some breakfast things…
but everyone was too franticly shopping to eat.
It makes me happy that, hopefully,
you all got a piece of my home at a good price!
Right now one of the only rooms in my home
that looks good is
Tommy’s One Room Challenge Room.
Every thing else is looking pretty spare.
But next week you’ll see
his gallery wall, mirror, bed curtains hung
and other things…
all leading up to the finale…hang in there!!!
I’m trying to hang in there too…moving is not easy…
even to a beautiful place like San Francisco.
Check out this week’s progress with these
fine bloggers…
